Princeton University Pilot Pathway for Engineering Students (2017-2019)

The Princeton University School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) aims to ensure that all students are prepared to put science and technology to use in solving critical societal challenges. In the 2017-2018 academic year, SEAS is piloting a suite of first year courses with the goal of instilling engineering into the first first-year curriculum. These courses cover the same subject matter as traditional calculus and physics courses at the same time that they introduce major challenges in modern engineering. Creative Research & Evaluation LLC and Karen Peterman Consulting are collaborating to provide technical assistance to a team from Princeton’s Council on Science and Technology that is evaluating and researching this pilot pathway into engineering.
